Award Winners 2013

MCED Award for Innovative Contributions to
Ecological Modelling

In 2013 we again received a high number of excellent applications which related to different modelling approaches and a multitude of research topics. The jury consisting of the book editors, representatives of the Young Modellers and the President of the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GfÖ)  had a hard time evaluating all applications according to novelty of the approach, contribution to ecology and ecological theory and bridging the gap between science and application. Finally Dr. Thomas Lamy (Montreal University, Canada) was awarded for 2013.

We cordially congratulate the three winners for 2013:

1st Prize:
